Driving a supercar

There’s a reason Lamborghini has long been lauded as one of, if not the best car company out there. While their extravagant vehicles and sleek supercars might not be for everybody, Lamborghini is nearly the gold standard when it comes to exotic cars. Even a Lamborghini certified pre-owned vehicle is nothing to laugh at. Every young boy fantasizes about driving a supercar one day, and the new 2018 Lamborghini Huracan will no doubt be idolized in poster form on bedroom walls all across the world.

Lamborghini’s new Huracan is visually stunning, artfully crafted, and functionally sound. Featuring a variety of new and old features that mesh perfectly together, this car is leading the pack in the eyes of many when it comes to next-gen supercars. To understand what makes this car so impressive, let’s take an in-depth look at what it has to offer. Also, why auto aficionados everywhere are raving about it.

It’s Fast, Really Fast

The first thing to note about the 2018 Huracan is that it’s been setting records regarding speed. It shattered the long-held record of shortest lap time on the “Big” track at Willow Springs International Raceway. The previous record was 1:22.5, held by the Porsche 918 Spyder. Lamborghini’s 2018 Huracan Performante bested that record by a full second. Something that has only been outdone since then by the Mclaren 720s.

When it comes to acceleration, the 2018 Huracan is no slouch either. It can hit 0-60mph in just 2.6 seconds. It also has 631 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. It’s also a powerhouse regarding straight-line speed, notching a 10.4 second elapsed time while going 134.5mph. If you’re driving a supercar for the first time, it might be better to start off with something not so fast.

All Around Impressive

Speed isn’t its only strength either, it’s got the goods in all areas. The lateral grip is outstanding, ranking in the top 10 among supercars. It’s also top 5 in braking, able to stop from 60mph in just 93 feet. These are especially endearing statistics to see, especially when dealing with such a fast, nimble car.

The 2018 Huracan Performante is also one of the last supercars that are naturally aspirated.  This gives the driver just a second longer to think and observe when taking corners, compared to other more furiously accelerating supercars like the Mclaren 720s. It also allows you to control exit corners, because it has slightly less torque than other supercars and gradual implantation.

The 2018 version of the Huracan Performante also weighs slightly fewer thanks to a simplified exhaust system. It is also lighter due to a broader application of Lamborghini’s patented Forged Composite. This is a resin that is reinforced with chopped, short carbon fibers.

Interior Class

The interior is beautiful as ever, with standard leather seats that provide both comfort and support. There’s not much room for adjustment. However, but the fixed angle incline is set in such a way that almost anybody would be able to drive long distances without having to get out and stretch their back.

The seats are situated right on the floor of the car, giving you a vantage point in which you can stare out gun-slit windows and try to make out objects as you travel down the road at lightspeed. The color of the interior is almost exclusively black and green, with the black resembling something more like black-marble than solid black.

Many who have driven it have said that it feels like riding in the cockpit of a fighter-jet, thanks to features like toggle switches for the windows, and a flip-cover on the start/stop button. Indeed, the interior can feel a bit cramped due to all of this. It may be the only drawback of this car because the windshield is still massive enough to see out of.

More Reasons Why You Need It

If you’re into buying luxury cars, then there’s never been a better time to drive a Lamborghini in La Jolla. If you’re looking for tips on driving a supercar like the new 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante, there’s not much to say besides “Hold on tight.” This car is blazing fast, and stunningly gorgeous. It has everything Lambo owners love about driving a supercar, and it’s an example of what automakers are now capable of. It might not be a spaceship right out of Star Wars, but it’s pretty dang close.
